The Payments Facade API is a robust and secure solution that allows corporate banking clients to initiate domestic payments directly from their financial systems through a streamlined API. Built on open banking standards, the API enables seamless integration, offering a highly efficient way to initiate and manage payment instructions with the bank.
Key features of the API include:
Payment Initiation Endpoint:
The API provides a payment initiation endpoint, designed to accept payment requests in an open banking format. Corporate clients can initiate single domestic payments by sending the required payment details (such as beneficiary information, payment amount, reference and date) in a secure and compliant payload.
Data Transformation:
Upon receiving a payment request, the system maps the submitted payload to the bank’s internal payment system. This ensures smooth interoperability between the client’s systems and the bank’s core processing infrastructure, reducing the complexity of payment integration.
Integration with the Bank’s Payments Hub:
Once the payment data is transformed and validated, it is automatically routed to the bank’s centralised Payments Hub for further processing.
Payment Status Endpoint:
To provide real-time transparency and control, the API offers a payment status inquiry endpoint. Clients can query the status of any initiated payment, whether it’s pending, processed, or failed, enabling them to monitor their payment instructions.
